MP&D is a land use consulting firm based out of Orillia, Ontario. We specialize in the facilitation of land use applications for residential and commercial development. We also provide representation at Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) hearings and are well respected for our knowledge of the Development Charges Act, and the Lake Simcoe Protection Act.

Our integrity, strong communication skills, knowledge of planning policy, and our understanding of the decision making process allows us to work collaboratively with fellow consultants and municipal officials.

Our Approach

Whether we are representing a municipality, a community organization, an independent property owner, or an experienced developer, we approach each project from a practical perspective with the best interests of the client and the community in mind.

Each project begins with a thorough review of the guiding documents which govern development in Ontario, followed by an analysis of the current designations and zoning by-laws. From this point we hold pre-consultations with the approval authorities to discuss options and establish an action plan.

From pre-consultation to the implementation of final planning and development approvals, we provide particular expertise in project management, facilitation, negotiation, and the development of communication strategies.
